Get Your E-Cig Products to Page 1 on Google

Ok valued readers, I know you love the great tips and tricks that iVape Local publishes regularly but this new series is really going to knock your socks off! I’m going to show you how to get your products to show up on page 1 of Google. This is really no joke. We use this strategy to rank some of our clients and it really works.

The best part about this strategy is that it can be accomplished for under $100 if the product you are trying to rank for isn’t too competitive. I’m going to show you some highly effective SEO tactics that the big online vape companies use on a daily basis. This will help you be competitive online and you can use this strategy for local SEO just by changing some of the keywords around.

This will be part one of a three part series. If you enjoy this type on content be sure to subscribe to the blog for future updates. You will be glad you did!

Lets get started:

SEO for E-Cig Stores: Getting Started

Domain Research

In order to know what steps to take in your E-Cig SEO mission, you will need to know where you stand in terms on domain strength. For this step you need to visit the MOZ Open Site Explorer and put your domain in the search bar. You want to know what your Domain Authority and Page Authority (DA/PA) is. If your DA and PA are over 10 then you are doing pretty good. If they aren’t, don’t worry, we will just have to work a little bit harder.

The higher your DA and PA, the easier it will be to rank for more competitive search terms. For example, iVape Local’s DA/PA is 19/28. We rank #1 for the phrase, “web design for vape shops” which is not a very competitive key phrase. Currently, for the search term “e-cigs” VaporFi holds the number 1 position. They are even outranking Wikipedia and WebMD which is an amazing feat. VaporFi has a DA/PA of 40/49 and over 2,000 backlinks pointing to their website.

Keyword Research

For this part we need to find a product to rank for. You will need to use a keyword research tool like the Google Adwords Keyword Planner or simply pay someone to do the keyword research for you. You can get detailed keyword research for $5 here. If you are outsourcing your keyword research make sure that the person you hire knows what your goal is. Here are some search volume reports for several vape products:

Wismec DNA 200: 1600 Monthly Searches

Sigelei Fuchai: 4200 Monthly Searches

Kanger Subtank Mini: 31,000 Monthly Searches

Naturally, it will be much easier to rank for the term Wismec DNA 200 than Kanger Subtank Mini. The best way to do this is to go through your inventory and find a popular product (but not too popular) that has a monthly search volume from 1,000 – 8,000 monthly searches. This will be a good item to get your feet wet when learning how to do SEO.

Writing Your Product Description

The key to SEO is valuable content. Check out the product page for the Sigelei Fuchai 200W at 24/7 E-Cig. The product page reads like a blog post and even has video reviews on it. This is what you want your product pages to look like. You can gain the favor of Google by providing in depth information about whatever product you are trying to rank.

Pro tip: Take a look at the top search results for the keyword you are trying to rank for and see what their descriptions look like. Then, write your own product description but make it longer and more detailed. This will guarantee that you are providing more value than your competitors.

We need to include our keyword in the title of our product page. Your product title should be: Siglei Fuchai 200W Temperature Control Box Mod. Next, when writing the description, use H1 tags for the main heading. That looks like this:

Sigelei Fuchai 200W Temperature Control Box Mod

For each subsequent section write like this using H2 tags:

Sigelei Fuchai 200W Product Details

Sigelei Fuchai 200W TC Reviews

Sigelei Fuchai 200W Box Mod Videos

This will ensure that your page is structured properly for SEO. H1 indicates what the page is about while H2 denotes sub-topics. This is key for achieving high search rankings.

Wrap Up

After you have done all of the above go ahead and publish your product. Share the product on your social media profiles and wait a day or so. In Part Two of this series we will show you how establish yourself as an authority on this product and how to do some very simple (but powerful) off site SEO.

It is important to remember that Google ranks “web pages” and not “web sites”. It is much easier to rank a page for a search term that isn’t too competitive rather than a term like “e-cigs or “buy e-cigarettes”.

Make sure to share this post with anyone who you think might benefit from the info. Even though iVape Local only works with e-cig retailers, other business might be able to use this strategy as well. Don’t forget to subscribe!
